The Tall Wakayama platform bed frame includes interlocking Japanese joinery assembly while also allowing for mattress to frame correspondence. A space saver for small bedrooms, the Tall Wakayama platform bed frame is built from solid hardwood (Parwood, also know as the rubber tree wood). The bed frame consists of pyramid-shaped inset legs, two center support legs, and center support with wooden slats less than two inches apart with a weight capacity of 1600 lbs. This Japanese architectural influenced bed frame is versatile as the headboard can adjust to accommodate a 10 or 13 inch mattress. *Headboards are sold separately.

Arrived unscathed from Indonesia!
I was surprised to find the bed came with a perfect finished and no scratches. Was easy to assemble and assembled very firmly. Looks beautiful. Still have to sleep on it and then will comment later on with regard to its functionality.

Simple assembly and rock-solid construction
Ordered the Tall Wakayama as a base for my new CASPER Wave mattress. If you want to use a slat style base for those type of mattresses, it needs to be flat slats (not bowed like the ones from IKEA) with spacing under 3”. The Wakayama setup was perfect and is a great base for my new CASPER. The shipping packaging was also very thorough and ensured none of the parts would be damaged in transit.

Tall Wakayama in Honey Oak (Queen) - Absolutely Gorgeous!!
Customer service was excellent and all my questions were answered and shipping was quick. Received my Wakayama bed with headboard in 5 boxes. Packing was superb and all boxes were reinforced extremely well. It was a perfect puzzle and all pieces fit nicely. Solid frame that will last my lifetime and beyond. Beautiful, well designed bed
We bought this bed in Honey Oak and it is a lovely color, and a very solid bed with few parts and just a few pieces of hardware so easy to assemble. Although 2 people are required due to weight of the pieces. The only bed frame I could find that would accommodate a king mattress bought in England. Very pleased, and the customer service was very good the few times I had to ring before ordering.

The Tall Wakayama platform bed WOW!!
Great Customer service, answered every question I had about the product. Super easy to assemble, will last a lifetime. All pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly and with the new "Idle Sleep" Mattress we bought its the best night sleep we have had in years. Made of solid rubber tree wood and packaged just fine. No damages from shipping outside of a barley noticeable mark in one of the 4 legs. Great price too. Get ready for a great experience, don't bother wasting time like we did trying to find a nice bed at Wayfair Ha ha. Oh and the Romba fits under the 15" legs like a dream.
