The space efficient Wakayama platform bed frame features interlocking Japanese joinery assembly and mattress to frame correspondence. Constructed of solid hardwood (Parawood, also known as rubber tree wood), the Japanese architectural influenced bed frame has pyramid-shaped inset legs, two center support legs, and center support with wooden slats less than two inches apart. This versatile bed frame may be used with or without a box spring, and the height of this headboard is adjustable to accommodate a 10 or 13 inch mattress. *Headboards are sold separately.

Worth the wait
It's not made with exotic hardwoods, and it doesn't have some eye catching design. But it's built solidly, easy to put together, and plenty attractive. It was easy to put together alone, thanks to the Japanese joinery, the only tricky part being the bolts to hold the center beam below a sizable ledge in the short side rails. I did try to use the included allen wrench instead of digging my set out, but the edges on it were rough, and nearly impossible to slot into the bolts. So make sure you have both a 4mm allen wrench for the bolts, and a philips head screwdriver to align the barrels that the bolts screw into. The instructions were a copy of a copy of a copy, so it was hard to tell 'c' and 'e' apart on the diagrams, but the instructions are so easy that it was pretty obvious what was what.

I love our new bed!! It is a beautiful and quality piece of furniture. It is always a little risky ordering furniture online, but I couldn’t be happier. Perfect addition to our Asian inspired bedroom. Came well packed and undamaged.

Gorgeous Bed!!
Really happy with this bed, it's beautiful and a breeze to assemble. I appreciate the craft that went into making it and it's become a great addition to my apartment. While it said that it'll take 8 weeks for it to get here, it was sent out within 4 weeks! Absolutely great customer service, couldn't recommend it enough!

5 packages w/ total of 200lbs. Took a couple of hrs to unpack - very thorough packaging. Assembled in under an hr. It's a very impressive, solid piece of furniture. Excellent design & fabrication.

Beautiful
Beautiful wood. The legs attach perfectly. One person can put it together. Strong structure, no creaking or noise. Tapered legs means no stubbed toes. Fits queen size mat and futon perfectly so no wasted space. Good airflow underneath so no worries about moisture. Excellent packaging, no dents or dings. And much of the packaging could be recycled, very little styrofoam! Very happy with our purchase. It's been 6 months and still just as good as new.

Platform bed w/headrest - perfect!
Bed frame w/headboard arrived weeks earlier than projected, which was a pleasant surprise. The bed frame and headboard were of highest finish and craftsmanship. The color (honey oak) is gorgeous. Really, just a wonderfully simple, high quality platform bed. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

Excellent quality
Easy Assembly, beautiful honey oak color, extremely sturdy and quite. Once the frame was locked together there was no movement or noise. Very happy with this purchase.
