As other reviews have noted, the frame is really sturdy and doesn't wiggle or creak, even with the tool-less assembly. The natural finish looks good and I love how the tatami is secure and flush with the top of the frame.

Absolutely wonderful. Great deign and workmanship. The joints are tight. We got ours in natural and we are quite happy.

I ordered this in late May and got it in late July, so don't expect it next week or anything but it's certainly worth waiting for. Everything goes together very nicely with just 2 screws for the middle support. The corners and headboard remind me of the puzzle boxes where everything is very well fitted and goes together very well. It's solid wood, the support slats are thick and strong, and I was able to put it all together without a 2nd set of hands.

Beautiful and reasonably-priced bed frame (did a lot of online comparisons). I live on the West Coast, and delivery was within timeframe they specified (it was a little longer due to COVID, but all of that was transparent and communicated at the time of purchase). The frame was well-packaged, but also not overly packaged, which I appreciate. The product was just as described, both in color (I purchased the Natural color) and the solid wood construction. This frame will last a long time! Looks just like the picture. The tatami mats fit perfectly into the frame, were well-made and had a grass smell (didn't bother me) that dissipated over time. You need to wipe it down with a wet cloth first and let it dry before using. The frame is perfectly very stable, doesn't creak (which is why I got rid of my last bed frame), and straight-forward to assemble when you follow the instructions. I also got the taller headboard, which is fits perfectly and completes the frame.

We decided to get this king size tatami bed to replace our 10 yrs old queen size Simmons beautyrest mattress. We glad we did that. The bed frame is very solid and tatami are in nice quality!

I decided to purchase this bed based on the simple configuration and I am extremely satisfied with the bed frame I received. There is no hardware required and the pieces were easy to put together by myself. The most difficult thing for me personally was putting the slats into place, since they are hard to maneuver when outside of the box( I am short and relatively weak). As some have mentioned in the previous reviews, the longest task was unpackaging everything! I think if you are concerned with excess plastic/packaging, I would not suggest this product for you. Each piece of the frame was wrapped with multiple layers of plastic and one box contained styrofoam. Upon inspection of the frame members, there were some places (mostly in the joints) where sawdust and glue was used to even out parts of the wood. On the underside of the ledge, the edge was not as sanded smooth(easy to sand it on an unfinished wood though). Not an issue for me as these issues would be concealed. It should also be noted that the slats are made of a different wood and are not as smooth. The underside of one of my legs seemed to have some glue residue and was not smooth. I intend to attach felt to the bottom to all legs regardless.
