TALL Tatami Platform Bed - Natural Finish

It was incredibly easy to assemble and looks so good. It's a simple and wholesome design. The Japanese style bed has enough character to feel like a decorative part of my room, not just a practical part. Physically though, it is very sturdy. It doesn't creak or wobble at all once you've put the mattress in. The tall version has enough room to keep storage under. I purchased this in August and it arrived in December. It arrived about a week after a representative called me to confirm the purchase + shipment. If you're not prepared to wait a few months, this may not be the purchase for you.

So was looking to buy a nice bed frame moving into a new place It was either thuma or this Just to keep it short. I went to thuma own private store in the the city and felt was underwhelming for such a high price Then came tatami room, and without a doubt this product is truly beautiful and built to perfection. Pros: Nice build super solid work and feels so smooth and nice to touch Beautiful wood color and easy to assemble No creeks and just a good feeling of strong foundations Packaged Well and was confident nothing was damaged or even scratched Cons: This really took forever to deliver, 6+ months but this was due to tariffs issue and even then the company was fully transparent and really let me know of the wait time. But still so worth the wait Took forever to unpack, like really well packaged that was a lot of trash to take out But really nitpick cons, and the product itself is pretty prefect and worth every investment

Took ten weeks for this bed to be delivered, but I have been extremely pleased with it so far. First and foremost this is a very sturdy bed, you can feel it especially by the heavy packaging that's fortunately broken up into multiple boxes. Like most other Japanese joinery bed frames, this one is fortunately easy to put together. It is not entirely tools free as you will need to use the included hex key for assembly of the center piece. Make sure you do follow the instructions carefully as removing the joints can be a bit difficult if you attached the wrong side. If you do, use a flat head screw driver to lift the joint piece up. As mentioned by others, the bed is beautiful. I do recommend adding a headboard to complete the look.

I purchased my King Tall Tatami Platform Bed in a Natural Finish sight unseen and could not be more happy with the outcome! The bed comes in several boxes that are so incredibly well packaged, it takes longer to unbox than it does to assemble. The natural finish is gorgeous and the pieces fit together solidly. My bedroom looks amazing with this beautiful furniture! I was well aware of the time to receive the bedframe and it was well worth the wait. Pin at tatamiroom.com was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions I had. This was an excellent purchase and I would highly recommend this bed!

Sure, the wait was long but very worth it. Bed arrived extremely well packaged and assembly was simple enough. Extremely comfortable and no noise at all. If I had to come up with an (extremely minor) negative point, the edge comes to about shin level so it's easy to ding your shins if you're not paying attention! This bed will last a lifetime, I can already tell. thank you!!

This bed is super sturdy, and assembly is simple. The wait time is long, but Customer Service was responsive in updating the ETA. It is very well packaged and arrived with no damage.

Love the bed frame. The wait was quite long, and we medium wish we'd gone with the honey oak instead of natural finish. But the bed came together really quickly. Was packaged amazingly, and is so incredibly sturdy! I feel grounded and secure in my bed now :D
