TALL Tatami Platform Bed - Honey Oak

10/10 would recommend to a friend! The joinery at the corners is beautiful and, the wood is clearly great quality, and the entire setup took 30 minutes with very minimal fuss. Shipping cross country took 11 days from order date.

12 years ago (I still have my receipt) I purchased the lower tatami bed in walnut. I was so happy with the design, the overall look and the fact that the slats were slightly recessed so a mattress could fit without moving around. I am still using that bed and came back to buy another, this time tall in honey oak for a 2nd bedroom. Item shipped earlier than expected, with superior level packaging. Support bar now has two legs! One of the holes for the screw that goes into the barrel was not drilled all the way so had to open it up with a screw driver and the screw did not go so easily into the barrel but made it work. One of the corner legs had a slight imperfection but I can live with it. The finish is very nice and the height is great, especially for taller people who might not feel as comfortable with the lower version. With a mattress, this tall frame seems to be the perfect height (and it's a lot easier to dust under it). By the way, I moved three times with my older frame and it disassembles and reassembles easily without any compromise to its structure. SOLID BED..buy with confidence.

The bed came on time, as hoped for, and was easy to assemble. We were impressed with the care of the packaging- small wooden pieces in the cut out groove spots so that the 'tongue in groove' designed prongs at the end of each of the four sides which then slide together-- were safe from being damaged. It is beautiful and we are really pleased! Comfortable, firm, lovely! My only thought/ suggestion for improvement:to have a different set of options: a) the bed frame, b) the bed with the headboard, so it has three frame pieces and the headboard and no waste. No one wants just the headboard. At present, if you order both the headboard and frame, you end up with a wasted piece of wood- the headboard end of the puzzle-- is there any way to sell a version that is the combo, for slightly less, and so you avoid wasting a quarter of the wood? we were so eager to see it, we assembled the frame, before opening the headboard, and didn't realize that then, we'd have to disassemble it, in order to put it back together with the headboard. Fortunately, it is all so easy and so well designed, that wasn't hard. Thanks for including the necessary tool! The extra piece is just sitting under the bed at the moment- what a waste.

Just assembled my bed frame and was impressed with how nice it looked and how easy it was to assemble.

I purchased TALL Tatami Honey Oak Twin XL and Full size Platform Beds. Smart design, very good workmanship. Real wood. Nice beds. They will last a life time.
