The Tall platform bed frame is made of 100% solid hardwood (Parawood-environmentally friendly wood) in satin finish. Includes 18 pairs of wooden slats (2" spacing) to support any standard size mattress.
*Complete platform bed set comes with Tatami mat(s) to create a serenity space for meditation or sitting area, Japanese futon mattress may be added for sleeping that provide excellent back support and comfort (sold separately).

Solid and Beautiful
Took awhile to get here, but well worth the wait. Packed well, took longer to unbox/unwrap than to put together. Not a mark or defect on any piece of the bed. Solid and well made. Not made in Japan, its made in China, but quality is great. Will buy the headboard to go with it.

Perfect dupe for more expensive similar designs
I was looking at another similar japanese-styled joinery bed frame from another company that was about a 1/2 more of the price of this bed frame. We haven't put it together yet as we still have a smaller sized mattress, waiting to upgrade but it looks to be a very simple project to do on a weekend. It's very sturdy and heavy and I fully expect it to last a lifetime.

Just perfect
We recieved the bed today and I was able to put it together myself in about 20 minutes. Fedex delivered it very careful and placed it the garage door on a pallet. It is pretty heavy and sturdy, but one person can put it together. It is very good quality and heavy duty, Im so glad we purchased this bed frame.

great bed frame
I needed a bed frame with slats for my latex mattress to breathe. This platform is excellent; strong and pretty. Easy to put together with room underneath for storage.

Like a rock
Amazingly sturdy, handsome, and minimalist. All parts were quite heavy which is what you'd hope from a sturdy frame. Putting it together was quick, do pay attention to the orientation of pieces as it can be setup incorrectly. It doesn't creak, or bend, it looks great, I'd recommend it to anyone who wanted a low style bed.

Just got it, and it’s much nicer in real-life than in photos.
I only just got the bed, but so far so good. It’s quite a bit nicer than I expected it to be. Not sure why, but the photos don’t do it justice. It’s pretty sturdy, super heavy, and really easy to assemble (the only parts you actually screw together are for the center support. I assume you receive 4 sides if you don’t also order a headboard. If you do order a headboard, you don’t get that extra-piece. Just note when measuring for space that compared to your mattress, take into account the lip of the frame and the corner-posts. Need to watch my toes on them. It is what’s pictured, I just didn’t think about it in my space until I set it up. I recommend it. For the money, it’s much nicer and better quality than I expected and had a good smooth finish to it.

Bought it twice!
I love everything about this frame. Recently made cross-country move and couldn't take it with me ... so I bought it again for my new place. Would not hesitate to buy again. Fits together like a wooden jigsaw puzzle, and solid as can be ... invites lots of admiring comments.
