TALL Tatami Platform Bed - Honey Oak

First of all, the bed frame I received is not perfect, it has a chip on the corner of one of the longer beam. The packages were well packed and intact so I guess it was damage before shipping. it's not a small scratch but a chip and it's visible and should be spotted easily before packing. It doesn't affect any functionality and the bed is sturdy and pretty still. Each beam interlock each other perfectly. But just knowing there's a chip on one of the corner for a brand new and expensive bed frame. I can't unsee it. However, I will still give it 5 stars is because its service is wonderful. They responded all my email or message the next business day. I asked if I can change my payment card and they left a message saying they will ask me before shipping and they did. Even just for the service, I would recommend buying from them. Don't mention the product is high quality. At least, almost perfect for me. Even they said it might be 6 to 8 weeks waiting time but I got mine about 4 weeks later which it's totally understandable because of the whole covid situation. I assembled the whole bed frame by myself and there's no problem at all. The instruction was clear and it has all the tools you need. Overall, the waiting time is reasonable, the packing is great, the bed is sturdy and beautiful, the assemble is smooth and easy, the material is real wood as they promised and the service is definitely 5 stars. Don't get scared just because the website looks like the style of 90'. It is a totally legit company and, unlike other online furniture companies, it has a phone number and real person customer service. Not just only email. One thing I would suggest is the matching nightstands. With my mattress on this tall bed frame, it is 25 inches tall. But the tallest nightstands they have in the product line is only 19 inches tall which is way too low for my standard. I wish tatamiroom will have another taller nightstands option. I would say may be at least 23 inches height.

I purchased the Tatami bed with the Magari headboard in the honey oak finish. The finish of the bed was fantastic, the bed was well made and easy to assemble. The Magari headboard was a little tricky to assemble because all the pieces are interlocking so you need just the right angle for them to fit. I did a lot of shopping and found this to be the best price available for this style of bed. I was very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the bed and head board. The boxes that the bed was shipped in protected the bed from damage, not a scratch, dent, or ding. Overall great product and highly recommend.

Had to wait 4 months for it to arrive, but we are extremely happy with the bed which is well worth the extended shipping times. It's extremely solid, bright wood color and looks awesome in our bedroom. We were originally considering a few other bed companies but the quality of the product and customer support make Tatmiroom a stand out in the market.

We had to wait 3-4 months, but it was worth the wait for a frame I consider a long term investment. It's very sturdy, and the high platform was great for us since we could store more below. I also really enjoy the finish, so smooth!

I have gone through about 5 beds in 6 months. Girlfriend's metal bed frame broke in transit, bed we bought from Wayfair was delivered with manufacturing flaws twice, and then we bought an expensive storage bed that was made cheaply, noisy and broke after a little move. This bed took forever to deliver, but with supply chain issues nowadays, understandable, and customer service was prompt in their responses. It was all worth it. Finally, a sturdy, heavy, silent bed at a reasonable price. It's apparently very hard to find all of those things nowadays.

Took awhile to get here, but well worth the wait. Packed well, took longer to unbox/unwrap than to put together. Not a mark or defect on any piece of the bed. Solid and well made. Not made in Japan, its made in China, but quality is great. Will buy the headboard to go with it.

I was looking at another similar japanese-styled joinery bed frame from another company that was about a 1/2 more of the price of this bed frame. We haven't put it together yet as we still have a smaller sized mattress, waiting to upgrade but it looks to be a very simple project to do on a weekend. It's very sturdy and heavy and I fully expect it to last a lifetime.
