Japanese Futon Mattress

Solid product and great construction. The product is made out of whole cotton, so a instruction is included to be sunbath only and cannot be water washed. Did purchase a mattress cover + sometime place a top cover to prevent from getting dirty. With the matress and tatami + platform bed frame, is sleeping great and seem to ease some back problem (maybe just my personal feel). The stuff is very friendly to allow me to change order before shipping when I realized the originall full size bed may not be enough for me. The package/shipment seem also very well.

This futon mattress and the tatami bed has done wonders for my sleep. I'm not a back pain person in general but when I do get small injuries or twinges from work a good night's sleep will take care of it and I wake up good as new! The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is that the mattress is only 3 inches thick and flattens out pretty quickly. Otherwise construction is solid and high quality.

A friend referred us to Japanese tatami bed. We ordered the futon in May and arrived after about two months. It is exactly what we are expecting and gives us perfect sleep for a few months from then. I am happy about the switch from traditional mattress to this.

This is the second one I bought (first one was destroyed by dog) and we tried to get a different mattress in the mean time but this mattress spoiled us too much, so we ended up sleeping on the floor until our tatamiroom mattress arrived, which was unfortunately about a month and a half. Honestly though, it’s worth it.

This is my first futon, having switched from a regular mattress on the floor. I had done a lot of research and tatatamiroom was the obvious choice from their price and quality of materials. I am so very happy with my new bed. My back finally lays flat. I wake up with significantly less pain than before.

Thinner than advertised and pictured. With a measuring tape mine sat just short of 3 inches thick. I was hoping it would fluff up after being out of box for a while but never did. Otherwise it is well made and the other dimensions are correct would have been perfect if it was actually as advertised . Not returning however since I already slept on it . I’ll just be getting a topper or second futon.

This is my first futon style mattress so I wasn't too sure what to expect. I got just the mattress before getting the mats and frame to go with, and it was satisfactory, but putting it on the tatami mats made a world of difference! Definitely a great product for the price!
