Yamaguchi Platform Bed Frame-Honey Oak

I love this bedframe!! It took a while to deliver (NO fault of tatamiroom) but the wait was worth it. The wood is gorgeous and the joinery is well done and so satisfying to slot into place. I got a matching headboard and it is equally solid. This did use a few screws, but only to hold the bottom supports in place. Very happy and hope to have this the rest of my life.

I'm nothing short of blown away by the quality and excellent design of this frame. It's easy to put together, rock solid, makes no noise and doesn't creak, and it comes at a super reasonable price. It's worth every penny.

I spent a long time researching on the inner for a platform bed. Finally I found the TATAMI ROOM web site. Thrilled with the result. We ordered the YAMAGUCHI PLATFORM BED FRAME-HONEY OAK and couldn't be more pleased. Bed frame arrived faster than expected. Everything was packed superbly. No problems with assembly, instructions easy and to the point. Quality of the wood and finish is excellent. We look forward to many years of service from the frame. To sum up...don't bother looking anywhere else if you want a high quality platform bed frame.

This bed is beautiful! Mine arrived while my husband was out of town and I was able to put it together by myself. One small dowel plug was missing from my parts, but I was able to find a replacement easily. This is the only thing keeping my review from being 5 stars. We really do love our new bed and the clean lines it provides our bedroom.

I spent quite a bit of time scouring the internet for a source of a Japanese style tatami bed to use with our new traditional Japanese futon. We took a gamble with this site, and I'm glad we did! We ordered the Yamaguchi platform bed with tatami, Magari headboard, and one side table. It took about a month to receive everything, with about a week delay due to bad weather. The bed frame arrived in 6 boxes. The mats were definitely the heaviest, but easy to transport with two people. It's worth mentioning that the shipping fee did not cover the unloading equipment from the truck, so the driver had to hand each package down to us and we carried them into our house. I appreciate that the slats are stained to match the bed frame! The bed feels very sturdy and high quality. The finished product looks awesome, my husband and I love it! The tatami smell is great, you can tell it was newly made. Makes me nostalgic of my family's old house in Japan. We even had a coffee/tea time with my parents, sitting on the bed with the futon folded up.
