The space efficient Wakayama platform bed frame features interlocking Japanese joinery assembly and mattress to frame correspondence. Constructed of solid hardwood (Parawood, also known as rubber tree wood), the Japanese architectural influenced bed frame has pyramid-shaped inset legs, two center support legs, and center support with wooden slats less than two inches apart. This versatile bed frame may be used with or without a box spring, and the height of this headboard is adjustable to accommodate a 10 or 13 inch mattress. *Headboards are sold separately.

Outstanding frame!
We received our beautiful Wakayama frame earlier than expected; everything was well packaged and arrived secure and undamaged. Unpacking and construction was a pretty straightforward 2-person job. We had a couple of questions and were able to reach a sales rep immediately who got us all squared away. We have an older mattress (10 years) and had assumed a new frame was step 1 on the journey to better sleep. After sleeping on the Wakayama frame, I’m doubting that our mattress was ever the issue. It feels like we are on a brand new, perfectly firm mattress, because the frame offers excellent support. One of the key benefits is the reduction in movement transfer across the frame. When my spouse rolls over, I barely notice it, rather than being woken up by the shift in weight across the frame. I looked at a number of platform frames before settling on Tatamiroom. The Wakayama fits beautifully in our space (the bedroom is under eaves and requires a low profile sleeping space), and its design and construction really shine. We’re very pleased with our purchase.

Well worth the wait
It took a while to show up, but the quality is truly amazing. Simple construction, easy setup. The whole thing is gorgeous solid wood, and it doesn't move or make a sound. Super happy with everything.

Great purchase, great value
Very happy with the quality and craftsmanship here for the money. It's a good looking bed. Assembly was easy. Shipping wasn't the fastest, but the delay was disclosed when purchasing so no complaints from me.

Looks great, easy to put together
Honestly, the hardest part of putting this bed together was getting it out of the boxes. It was really easy and it looks great.

Change I would make
Very well constructed. I would seriously consider adding cushions, like felt pads on the leg bottoms and the two center support legs. Other then that, it’s awesome.

Gorgeous!!!
This is the most gorgeous bed. Beautifully made. Beautifully packed. I mean even the one pa mage that went sideways and busted open was still intact and complete. Sturdy, lovely. Can’t say enough about it I was able to assemble it by myself. Packages are heavy due to the wood but I had an assist getting it into the room. Reasonably priced.

So well made with first class material. All pieces fit perfectly, even the few bolts. It's a beautiful bed. And it was extremely well packed and shipped without even a dent in the boxes. Easy to assemble too. If you like what you see, have confidence that you will receive what you see.
