Tatami Platform Bed - Dark Walnut

I wanted a good quality low-profile platform bed, and that is exactly what I received. Here is the negative part first. It wasn't quite as easy to put together as I thought it would be. Some of the parts have tight clearances so it took a little time to put it together. Everything did fit eventually. Also, the two middle legs did not touch the ground initially. I emailed customer service, and they said it would be fine after I put the mattress on the bed and gave time for the wood to acclimate to my room environment. They were right. All was fine after I did both. After I put everything together, the bed looked so great. It was low-profile and had that minimalist look I was going for.

I read some Japanese person's blog and got this product information. When I checked this web site very first time, I wondered how much Tatami quality is. Because some cheap or bad Tatami has just Igusa or other plants on its surface covered and it is called Tatami. Core can be different material. That's not Tatami at all. But this Tatami is REAL DEAL. Still I can't believe I can buy such high quality Tatami in USA!! Assembling bed frame is very easy. Very rigid. Tatami has very nice aroma (Tatami's scent) and it makes me relaxed. I love it!

Beautiful bed. So easy to put together, joints fit together with no issues. Great construction,beautiful wood. Tatami mats are awesome. Delivery was very timely. Only thing we were surprised at was that the supporting centerpiece and slats were not the same color as the frame. Not a big deal since you don't really see them but pictures show them as same color. Overall very happy with product. Highly recommend.

I had my doubts about this product when the boxes arrived, and I saw that they were imported from Indonesia. I have had some poor quality items from Indonesia. My husband I were able to put this bed frame together, using only a screwdriver, in a half an hour. The packing of the parts was fabulous --> nothing was damaged, and I could tell that nothing could get damaged because it was packed so well. The parts fit perfectly together; nothing was warped or had to be forced into position. Lastly, the style and low height is perfect in our room.

I called to ask question about mats verses no mats. I was please with the answer and knowledge of the sales staff knew his stuff! Bed was delivers as promised and packaged well, to prevent damage. Easy to build. Sturdy and elegant. SUPER PLAT FORM BED! I wish I could include a pic! Looking forward to buy from this company again!

We got the dark walnut king bed + tatami mats - I put the entire bed together by myself in probably 30 minutes (after unpacking it all) - the way all the pieces fit together like a puzzle, plus the thoughtfulness that goes into everything is beyond compare - we paid way less for this bed than our previous frame and you'd think this cost at least twice as much. Everything is extremely solid & fits together tightly - we were looking for a low frame and anything even similar to this cost $3-4k online. So happy I found this site, would 100% recommend to anybody. :) Thank you!

My wife and I both like beds that are firmer than you can get with American beds. This bed frame, along with the futon mattress, is perfect. We got the king size and like it a lot!

We recently purchased the queen tatami mat bed frame and we couldn't be more pleased. Paired with our wool futon mattress and topper, the bed is exceptionally comfortable. My husband had been waking up with back pain with our old platform frame (that had worn-out latex strips on the slats). With the tatami bed his back doesn't bother him at all. The design is simple and attractive and super-easy to assemble. Love it!
