Tatami Platform Bed - Dark Walnut

I was very skeptical and worried about buying a bed frame online. If that is your worry, no need to worry any more. This bed was exactly what WE were looking for. A platform, dark walnut bed frame that matches our other furniture. The wood is sturdy and has quality. As a plus, it is easy to assemble. The only sad part is that the tatami mats have a bit of odor. Another reviewer commented that he/she liked the smell. Unfortunately, I'm not so fond of the smell. It's not so bad that I can't sleep or anything. Just a foreign smell that I notice every now and then. I'm not sure if the odor will go away later (we've had it for about a week now). I also suspect that maybe it's because the products came from Taiwan (I think that's what the box said), as it is more humid there than where I live. However, the bed frame itself is a great buy! Conclusion, love it. My husband loves it. He fell in love with it since day 1. I wanted to give it a few more days to make sure I like it enough to leave it a review.

If you're wondering what this bed will look like in real life... if it will be solid or cheap, let me put that to rest. This bed was exactly what we were looking for. Simple, elegant, beautiful, solid as hell and excellently crafted. It's easy to put together but I recommend having two people to do it. For a king anyway, could be different for smaller sizes. We ordered two dark walnut platform beds for our guest room. The beds are lovely and very well made. For the price, we did not expect this level of quality. They arrived quickly and were extremely well packaged. Both beds were unpacked and assembled within 40 minutes and no tools were needed. We will recommend these beds and Tatami Room to anyone who will listen!

This bed is gorgeous. The dark walnut finish is shiny and polished to perfection. The bed as super easy to assemble and the low profile makes getting up in the morning a joy. The solid construction leaves no room for wobbles or squeaks. The design is flawless.

This is our 2nd tatami bed frame we've purchased and there's a good reason for it. It is very well constructed of sustainable wood and is designed to be put together very easily. The interlocking pieces barely have room for a piece of paper to fit between them. The slats are all connected to each other so they only take a minute to add to the frame. The tatami mats are well made and hold up for years. We have one in honey oak and the second one in walnut - both our beautiful in color and beautifully made. We ordered matching headboards for both beds and really like the look.

Have been sleeping like a log on my new tatami bed the last 4 nights.great purchase worth the price. Went for the dark walnut, beautiful rich brown color. The bed is solidly built and was a breeze to assemble. I also purchased the tatami mat. I love the fresh outdoor smell of the rush grass although I’m sure it will eventually fade away. I was also impressed with how well the bed and mat were packaged for shipment.
