38"x80" Tatami Mat

It was not a traditional made Japanese tatami mat as advertised. The bottom part of the mat is a thick cardboard like material. When the mats were delivered, one of the mats were slightly damaged on the side. The delivery person did not speak english so was unable to communicate way we did not want to receive the product. After a long try, we went ahead and signed for the slightly damage product. Will not order again or recommend this company.

We bought futon a few month ago and it fits our need. Right before holidays I placed the order for the mattresses and did not expect to be delivered within two month since I was told the lead-time is 6-8 weeks. But we received the products this week. The quality and shipping package is perfect as last time. My husband and I love the new mattress. I am glad that my friend refer me to Tatamiroom.

It is difficult to find a seller in the US that sells tatami made in the traditional way, at good prices. So I am happy to have found tatami room. The tatami is sturdy and well made, it was shipped with extra layers and arrived safely. Thank you--

This is my first tatami mat. Purchased to use with a twin xl futon. The quality is amazing and smells nice. Loved that it came with care instructions also. Also I originally got the wrong size but was contacted -I’m amazed that they not only caught my mistake but resolved it before shipping.

My friend recommended me tatamiroom.com. I bought a twin XL mat. The quality is good. Probably the best here (I live in North California). I love that it is not made in China, which is not easy to find nowadays. I used to sleep on tatami when I was a kid. The nice smell of the tatami mat is exactly same as what I remember. The delivery was very fast. Good service. The only thing is that there is a tiny hole on the back of the mat. Around the size of a thumb, and not too deep. Since it is not big and only on the back, it doesn’t effect the usage of the mat. So I didn’t ask for a exchange. Anyway, I’m really happy I bought it! Also recommended this company to my friends.

Overall very happy with my purchase. I had questions about the product and when I called into customer service the gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful about answering all my questions. Delivery was really quick as well. Very happy to have found this company!
