Tatami Platform Bed - Natural Finish

I found this website looking for a sturdy bed with the beautiful interlocking joint work. Although the shipping took a while, it was worth the wait! When it arrived, it was well packaged. The assembly was very easy that I could do it by myself without help. The bed itself if very sturdy. I have a rug under the front half of it, there is no creaking or movement getting in and out of bed or when tossing/ turning at night. The color is beautiful and the height is perfect with a 14" mattress. For the price that you pay, it's amazing craftsmanship. I will continue to buy beds from this company! Love it!

This is my 4th purchase of a Tatamiroom platform bed! The bed is very sturdy and beautiful. The parts fit perfectly together and the assembly is very easy. I have never had any problems with our beds. The price is very reasonable.

Love my new tatami bed! Looks beautiful, very sturdy, and easy to assemble. Came quicker than I expected and even though the bed frame came on a day when it was pouring outside, they had packed it so that even though the outer box got soaked, the bed stayed dry in the inner box. I was so relieved. The bed came in three separate packages. The frame arrived the first day and the slates and legs came in two other packages the next day. My only criticism is that the box holding the slats got torn in shipping and the slats could have fallen out (luckily that didn't happen). Overall, I was VERY pleased! Thank you Tatami Room!

I can’t even believe where to start. I decided to cough up the 1k and get the King bed frame. I was first looking at THUMA, and realized what kind of gimmicky mistake I was going to fall for once again... when I realized they don’t have real customer service just like horrifying Nectar. So I had fully refunded my order which was a total of 1,089.80. Mind no real head board. Also, I found out it’s wood glued together instead of solid wood.... their slate are also cheap cheap dirt slats that makes a huge difference they not many people are aware about. I brought this thing home. Put it together and initially thought holy carp, these are STURDY... I mean each corner legs are giant blocks.. giant! Pictures won’t do justice. I’m 6’3 and 210 lbs. I’ve jumped, rolled, dove, trying to forcefully create and identify a creak or usual squeaking sounds. Nothing.. pure silence.. I then decided to buy the head board as well for an extra $400 or something because of the quality. Now the head board seems pretty loose when everything else is completely concrete. But still very pleasant and not disruptful. Meaning the headboard doesn’t wiggle and make noises when I am rolling or diving.. or... “AHEM”.. all been tested.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I accidentally ordered the short version and they were able to switch to the tall leg set for no additional charge. Shipping was fast and the bed itself is very high quality.

I was looking for a very sturdy and quiet king platform bed. I got very close to buying the trendy Thuma bed frame before I was directed to this store by a thread on Reddit that mentioned Thuma customer service wasn't great and overall their product was just not as good as a really authentic Japanese style bed frame. So, I figured I'd go for it and try one from this company instead. I liked how I could tell it was solid wood and looked like it would hold up much better than the poorly made platform beds I typically see. I also saw from other reviews that it was not squeaky. So far, I am so happy! My husband set this up while I wasn't home but said it was pretty easy. He did it alone and quickly. It is SILENT which is awesome. It looks great. We kept out old headboard for now and just pushed it against the wall with this frame, which is very heavy so keeps it in place well. I am so pleased and hoping to have this piece of furniture for years to come.

We bought two of these beds for a room in our new home and they are exceptionally well made and very easy to assemble. I love that very little metal is used for connections and the design is engineered using joinery. This is much better quality than so many Restoration Hardware pieces we've purchased over the years, there's no comparison.

Very pleased with the bed. We bought the natural-finish full-sized with headboard. It arrived on time and was incredibly easy to put together: did the whole thing on my own in under an hour. It took a lot less time than I expected: I liked the way it simply slotted together at the legs. Only 4 bolts needed for the center support and 8 dowels for the slats (all supplied of course). I don't think it could have been simpler. We didn't buy the mats but have dropped a mattress into place. Looks very good!
