Tatami Platform Bed Frame in Honey Oak - The low platform bed frame is made of 100% solid hardwood (Para-wood-environmentally friendly wood) in satin finish. Includes 18 pairs of wooden slats (2" spacing) to support any standard size mattress. This Japanese style platform bed is constructed with interlocking frames that requires no brackets or screws for easy assembly.
*Complete platform bed set comes with Tatami mat(s) to create a serenity space for meditation or sitting area, Japanese futon mattress may be added for sleeping that provide excellent back support and comfort (sold separately).

Gorgeous and sturdy
This bed frame is exactly what I wanted. It is beautiful and super solid. Assembly was incredibly simple. I like the shallow mattress pan that allows me to tuck my sheets fully under the corners. This bed does not budge and the frame is silent.

Solid, Heavy, Well Constructed Bed Frame
It took about 10 weeks from ordering to receiving the bed frame, but Tatami Room was very responsive and upfront about the long lead time and quick to provide an update when asked. The bed frame arrived in three separate boxes, all well packed with plenty of protective padding and in perfect condition. Assembly was very easy, the main frame just slots together while the mid beam has a couple bolts to secure it. Everything is heavy solid hardwood. We’ve been using it for a few weeks now and love it. No noise, looks great, definitely no regrets with this purchase.

Excellent frame
I chose this bed over the (very overpriced in my opinion) Thuma. I have no regrets. The frame is solid. I was able to assemble the king sized frame completely by myself, a 120lb woman. From first opening up the shipping boxes through putting the sheets back on my mattress after placing it on the completed frame, I'd say it took about 40 minutes from start to finish. Not bad at all, considering that I was by myself. It is silent, solid, and exactly what I was looking for. Arrived about 4 weeks after I placed my order in perfect condition.
